This group is open to all runners & walkers of all abilities and is all about fun and easy miles! Who should join? Anyone who wants a reason to get out the door and get a run or walk in. Anyone who wants a regular consistent activity to add to their schedule. Anyone who enjoys being active and wants to meet others who share their interests. Whether you are a 2:30 marathoner or are brand new to running/walking, you are all welcome! Hope to see you out there.
The next Step to Balance Walking is to meet with others whom are just getting started with the use of Poles incorporated in to their walk, jog or run... In fact all ages, health ( with a Doctors advice of course if you have any risk factors to beginning a fitness program ) and fitness levels are welcomed... We will give instruction, provide poles as loaners, and group everyone in to the appropriate health - fitness - or sports experience group. Oh, I will be looking for Coaches and Walk Leaders …

We are a friendly, fun, and diverse group of friends in the Canton, Woodstock, Marietta, Roswell, Kennesaw, Acworth and surrounding areas and we want to make new nearby friends (in Cobb County, Cherokee County, and beyond!) Paul started a good thing and I hope to continue it. I have two Italitan Greyhounds who always enjoyed our morning hikes at Kennesaw Mountain with Paul and Lucy and those who signed up. So, we will, for now, continue weekend-morning hikes and hope you too will find them enjoyable. We will do the 5.5 miles that takes roughly 2 to 2.5 hours depending on our pace.
